Max Boot, the Jeane J. Kirkpatrick Senior Fellow in National Security Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations, delivering the first of these talks. Max Boot is an independent thinker who writes prolifically about history, defense strategy, and foreign affairs.
Mr. Boot is far more than an accomplished historian and journalist; he is passionately engaged in current foreign policy challenges and is an important voice in the debates that shape U.S. policy. Mr. Boot is frequently called upon to advise national leaders with respect to defense and foreign policy matters. Most recently, he served as the foreign policy adviser for Senator Marco Rubio. Previously, Mr. Boot advised Senator John McCain and Mitt Romney.
