The Joni and Stanley Tate Early Childhood Center Awarded National Accreditation

It is with great pleasure that I announce that The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) has officially accredited The Joni and Stanley Tate Early Childhood Center. This is a major accomplishment for our Temple school and it proves what I have always believed...we are terrific! Before I go any further, I must thank my staff of loving and dedicated teachers and assistants. They have proven that they too, are great! A wonderful staff and a great school, surrounded by happy, inquisitive and caring children and their supportive families makes an environment so special, it feels like home.

NAEYC Accreditation means that we adhere to the philosophy that believes children are important and our school operates at a high level of quality control. NAEYC promotes the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of each child. The environment in which a young child develops to his or her highest potential accepts each child as a unique individual, learning at his own pace and in her own way, always striving for a little more. Being part of NAEYC means that teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable of the latest trends in teaching. Each adult involved in a student’s day is a caring and interactive caregiver. NAEYC teachers are creative in their teaching mythology and understanding of each age group’s needs from diapering to discipline. NAEYC teachers accept the challenge to act as facilitators and guide rather than lecture in their classrooms. These teachers are able to take ideas, draw knowledge from their small students, guide them along the path of curiosity, discovery, and imagination, and instill a lifetime love of learning and reading.
Everything from play dough to blocks to housekeeping centers have a reason for being there. Each “center” is a learning area for the child and a teaching opportunity for the teacher. These highly qualified and dedicated teachers understand and support this philosophy.

Now that we have met this high standard, by no means is it time to relax! We are aiming for Gold Seal Accreditation and looking forward to changes that Universal Pre-kindergarten will bring.

P.S. There are many great preschools in Miami. Ours is now on that list also. I welcome and invite you or your family to visit our school and see for yourself just what I am bragging about! We are a great school, with a great staff, with great kids and great parents!

Congratulations Joni and Stanley Tare Early Childhood Center on a job well done!
