How can you help our Temple Israel of Greater Miami community?
Our congregants are the foundation of Temple Israel, and participation is strongly encouraged. Therefore, we invite you to get involved. Whether you are new to Temple Israel or a veteran member of our congregation, we can use your skills, creativity, time, and energy. Attend a meeting, work behind the scenes to plan events, join a committee, become a board member, or help us with a project. Volunteering is one of the most rewarding ways to become fully engaged in the Temple Israel community.
Below is a brief description of each of TI’s committees along with the Committee Chairs’ contact information. Get involved! If you have any questions or want further information, please contact the assigned committee chair.
I would like to invite anyone who has knowledge of finance or accounting to reach out to me. At this time we do not have any vacancies, however, in the future, we welcome finance minded people who are able to communicate and express ideas related to budgeting as well as a desire to serve on the committee.

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE
Effectively communicating all that Temple Israel is and all that it offers can be a challenging mission as we reach out to our members, prospective members, and the community at large. The Marketing and Communications of our synagogue life require the expertise of those familiar with the tools of the trade -- advertising, public relations, branding, social media, journalism, graphic design. Are any of these disciplines in your wheelhouse? If so, we welcome your input.

Join the Programming Committee and be a resource for the Temple Israel activities. Our goal is to support and create meaningful, effective events for
our community. Whether the activity promotes Social Justice, Lifelong Learning, or Membership, is connected to a religious celebration or a fundraiser,
we work to enhance the end result. Come with your ideas, or come to take an assignment. All are welcome.

TIFTY stands for Temple Israel Federation of Temple Youth. We are affiliated with NFTY-STR: the North American Federation of Temple Youth - Southern
Tropical Region. In TIFTY, we believe in establishing teen leader-adult partnerships. Bryan Kellert serves as the advisor to TIFTY, but the leaders are our teens. Together, we create programming that is social, spiritual, and educational. We also attend the regional kallot (conventions) with teens from all over South Florida. If you are a teen grades 8-12 interested in creating friendships, developing your leadership skills, and having fun come and join TIFTY!
